‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ organized

AALO, July 20: The West Siang Women and Child Development Department organised a three-day ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ and Early Childhood Education and Development (ECCE) event with the participation of district anganwadi workers and Gensi ICDS project.

Liromoba CDPO Y Bagra elaborated on the topic while instructor Dojum Ribam highlighted areas of development, activities, structure of anganwadi centres and home visits.

Speaking on malnutrition, Resource Person Dr. Jumpie Ete stressed on the importance of nutrition for 0-6 year old children, pregnant and lactating mothers and adolescents. She called for identifying Divyang children for their inclusion.

Aalo East CDPO Horda Jini spoke on parental involvement and community mobilization for ECCE and Poshan, while Aalo West CDPO .YR Ete called for proper organization of such events and monitoring of growth.

Supervisor Tongam Riba gave a demonstration using Poshan Tracker 20.4, 20.6 while LDC Toli Riba trained AWWs in supportive supervision with practical training in TLM to 300 participants. (DIPRO)
