‘Do not eat’ warning issued on Magnum ice creams that may contain metal pieces

Magnum ice creams are being recalled due to the possible presence of plastic and metal. Unilever has sent a notice to customers about three packs of its Almond Ice Cream Sticks.

The Food Standards Agency update said the products “may be unsafe to eat”. The affected items are the three 100ml packs with a best-before date of the end of December 2025.

Products with batch codes L3338, L3339, L3340, L3341 and L3342 are being recalled. Customers are being told not to consume them and to return them to their store for a full refund.

The Unilever statement said: “The safety of the people who buy and use our products is our highest priority. As a result, we are recalling these products. No other Magnum products are affected. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.
