Here’s what you need to know to start your week

ZANESVILLE − The second meeting of the Putnam Underground Railroad Forum will be held at 7 p.m. July 25 at Putnam Presbyterian Church, 467 Woodlawn Ave. The guest speaker will be James Geyer, retired director of the Muskingum County History Museum.

The forum aims to explore the historical significance and physical characteristics of five pre-Civil War structures in Zanesville’s Putnam Historic District that are prominent properties on the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. These include the Stone Academy, Putnam Presbyterian Church, and the homes of George and Sarah Guthrie, A.A. Guthrie, and Horace and Lucinda Belknap Nye.

DUNCAN FALLS − The 109th annual Williams Family Reunion will be held July 28 at the Barracks, 4509 Salt Creek Drive. A boxed luncheon begins at 12:30 p.m. This is for all descendants of William F. and Alice Fletcher Williams. For more information, call Marilyn Moody at 740-454-0447.

ZANESVILLE – Muskingum County citizens plan to meet with Muskingum County Commissioners at the Commissioners’ Office on July 29 at 2:30 p.m. to present the United Sovereign Americans resolution regarding valid elections in 2024.

ZANESVILLE − Southern Championship Wrestling has a show at 7 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the Jackson Street Civic Center, 928 Jackson St. Tickets are $10, and are free for those under 5. Doors open at 6 p.m.

ZANESVILLE − The July 22 Community Development Committee meeting has been canceled. The next meeting is at 5:00 p.m. on August 26.
