Jindal launches mega health camps to cover all constituencies in Kurukshetra Lok Sabha area | Chandigarh News

KURUKSHETRA: Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal’s foundation on Sunday organised a mega health camp in Thanesar, Kurukshetra, in collaboration with a state-run private medical college. The health camp was held at a private school on Jhansa road in Kurukshetra and received an overwhelming response from the public.

According to Jindal’s office, more than 1,000 patients took advantage of free consultations and medications provided by more than 100 specialized doctors. Services included various medical disciplines, including general medicine, surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, tuberculosis, ENT, ophthalmology, dentistry, psychiatry, physiotherapy, laboratory and pharmacy.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, Naveen Jindal had released his own vision document for Kurukshetra constituency. One of the promises he made was to set up a free health centre for the public.

Inaugurating the mega health centre, MP Naveen Jindal said, “Providing modern healthcare to every household is my top priority.” He said the initiative was inspired by his father, late OP Jindal, a former MP and former Haryana Chief Minister.

Jindal expressed his commitment to organise such health camps in all constituencies of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha area to ensure that health services are accessible to all irrespective of their economic status. He also said that he would look into the issues to make services in government hospitals more effective and give due attention to sports facilities for children and youth. Jindal also planted saplings in the school to inspire and create awareness for environmental conservation.

Haryana Urban Local Government Minister Subhash Sudha and Rohtak Mayor Manmohan Goyal on the occasion deployed a mobile medical van to cater to rural areas and ensure wider access to healthcare so that no one would be left without a medical vehicle, Jindal said.

On this occasion, a blood donation camp was also organised and special arrangements were made for cancer screening by organisations working to combat this disease.

“Our aim is to ensure that all households in Kurukshetra have access to healthcare facilities and that no one suffers due to lack of treatment,” said MP Naveen Jindal.

Former Rajya Sabha MP General (retired) DP Vats, BJP district president Ravi Battan and a number of other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
