1. Accuracy

By using Spread the wordYou agree to post only information that you know to be true and accurate. 2. Acceptable Content

You agree to only submit content that can be classified as a “news story.” That is, it is a new event or statement related to the company or organization under which the release is being submitted. You agree not to Spread the word to distribute how-to articles, general information articles, whitepapers or opinions. You may not submit content that infringes the copyright or proprietary rights of any third party, or that is unlawful or offensive. Releases must conform to professional standards and may be removed if they do not. You acknowledge that we reserve the right to edit the heading, subject and body of your release to ensure it is appropriate, relevant and fit for purpose.

3. Attribution

You agree to submit content only on behalf of the organization under which the release is submitted. Content that could be considered misleading as to who the material is submitted by, or as to who the content is related to, may not be posted and may be removed or edited. When submitting a release, you must be the owner of the email address used to send emails via Spread the word.

4. Categorization

You agree to only categorize content under those categories that are relevant to the content. In general, we advise that attempts to categorize content under more than five categories will result in that content being reviewed and possibly removed. You acknowledge that we reserve the right to edit the tags of releases to ensure that your release is only sent to relevant individuals.

5. Linking and Fair Use

You agree not to place more than one link to a website in a press release. Overlinking solely for search engine optimization purposes is not permitted and discouraged due to the penalties that can be associated with overlinking. And our gremlins will detect overlinking and remove such violations.
