Trichy: Tangedco has announced that there will be a power outage in various parts of Trichy city on Monday, July 22, to relocate electricity poles as Trichy Corporation is redeveloping roads near Big Bazaar Street and Gandhi Market. Tangedco has stated that maintenance work will be carried out on high tension wires of the 33kV substation on East Boulevard (EB) Road. The affected areas include Thayyalkara Street, Boologanathar Temple Street, Gandhi Market, Krishnapuram, Fish Market, Manimandapa Road, Big Saurashtra Street, White Betel Street, Vellamandi, Valayalkara Street, Kalmanthai, Rani Street, Big Bazaar Street, Mohammed Ali Jinnah Street, Mannar Pillai Street and Gopalakrishnan Pillai Street. The power outage will last from 9:45 am to 4:00 pm. For complaints regarding electricity distribution, consumers can contact the toll-free helpline number at 94987-94987, officials said. TNN
