The discussion focused on potential investments in several key areas, including transportation and logistics, clean energy production, agricultural products, and rare earth mining and processing. The G7 Global Infrastructure and Investment Partnership program, which aims to allocate $600 billion to infrastructure projects in developing countries by 2027, was a central topic of the talks.

Nurbayeva highlighted Kazakhstan’s ambitious plans to develop its transport infrastructure, particularly through the seaports of Aktau and Kuryk. She also stressed the country’s commitment to promoting clean energy initiatives, the extraction of critical minerals and agricultural development.

She emphasized the significant potential of the Central Asian region for long-term partnerships and reiterated Kazakhstan’s readiness to work with the United States to achieve shared goals.

In response, Matza indicated that the G7 is ready to invest up to $200 billion in infrastructure projects in Central Asia, with Kazakhstan identified as a primary destination for these investments. The aim of the program is to improve and diversify global supply chains to ensure food and energy security, thereby promoting expanded trade links between Central Asia and European markets.

The meeting concluded with the agreement between both sides to further develop cooperation to implement major infrastructure projects and strengthen economic ties.
