The body of a 20-year-old has been discovered in a pond in Parvatipur village, Saraikela-Kharsawan district.

JAMSHEDPUR – The peaceful village of Parvatipur in Saraikela-Kharsawan district was shocked by the gruesome discovery of the body of a young man in a local pond.

The deceased has been identified as Birsingh Hansda, a 20-year-old resident of the village.

Authorities found the body with severe injuries, especially to the eyes, indicating a violent incident.

Vishwanath Hansda, the victim’s younger brother, reported that Birsingh was missing since the previous afternoon.

“We searched everywhere, even near the pond, but couldn’t find him initially,” said Vishwanath.

The body was found late at night in a ditch near the pond, raising questions about the circumstances of Birsingh’s death.

Family members say Birsingh had no enemies and lived a quiet life, shuttling between work and home.

“He had no conflicts with anyone. This is shocking to all of us,” a family member is reported to have said.

Officers from the RIT police station are on the scene and have launched an investigation into the mysterious death.

The incident has caused fear and concern among locals, who are calling for a thorough investigation and increased security measures in the area.
