Amaravati, July 23 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the announcements made in the Union Budget 2024-25, which he said would go a long way in rebuilding Andhra Pradesh.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president went to ‘X’ to thank the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu, whose TDP is a key partner in the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Finance Minister Sitharaman for “recognising the needs of our state and focusing on a capital city, Polavaram, industrial hubs and development of backward areas in AP in the Union Budget of FY 24-25.”

“This support from the Centre will go a long way in rebuilding Andhra Pradesh. I congratulate you on presenting this progressive and confidence-building Budget,” Naidu posted with the hashtag APBackonTrack.

Andhra Pradesh Human Resources Development Minister and TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh also lauded the announcements in the Union Budget and termed it a new era for Andhra Pradesh.

“I am extremely happy and grateful for the announcements made by the Union Finance Minister in the Budget today. These will go a long way in helping AP achieve its developmental and social goals. It is a matter of great pride for the people of Andhra Pradesh that our struggle has been recognised and a special and holistic package has been provided covering all the important areas such as industrial growth, infrastructure, irrigation and HRD,” said Lokesh, son of Chandrababu Naidu.

“I would like to specially mention the generous contribution made to Amaravati and Polavaram. Today will be marked as a red letter day in the history of the new state. This is the first step towards our joint march to build a state of our dreams,” he added.
