Two SHCs in Kupwara district receive NQAS certification; DC Kupwara congratulates health authorities and residents of the district

Kupwara, July 23. Two Sub-Health Centres (SHCs) in the border district of Kupwara have received the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certificate from the centre for providing quality healthcare facilities to the people residing in the areas concerned.

SHC-AAM (Ayushman Arogya Mandir) Putshai (Lolab) and SHC-AAM, Shaloora (Kupwara) were the first Sub Health Centres (SHCs) in Kupwara district to obtain NQAS certification.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Mrs. Ayushi Sudan (IAS) congratulated the people of the district and the health authorities and said that SHC-AAM, Putushai was awarded the NQAS certificate for scoring 92.41% in all 12 service packages, followed by SHC-AAM Sholoora with an overall score of 89.64%.

The NQAS certificate is awarded to SHCs and PHCs in recognition of their excellence in healthcare, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.

It symbolizes the commitment of the district administration and health department of Kupwara district to provide accessible, equitable and quality health care to the community.
