The world’s largest key museum — Civilek Info — has opened in a small village in Somogy

The building exhibits 65,000 keys, but interested parties can also visit other thematic exhibitions.

The Key Museum, with the largest collection of keys in the world, has opened in Bonn. The dream of Bálin Restár – who moved to Hungary from the Highlands and has been living here for two years – has come true, Sonline wrote.

Bálint Restár started collecting keys five years ago and as a result of his passion he created the largest collection of keys in the world. The museum building was renovated two years ago and it took a year and a half to arrange the different rooms and categorize the objects. The exhibition presents not only keys, but also locks and padlocks.

This collection is unique in the world, I have already received a diploma from the Hungarian Records Association

– the collector told the portal, whose next goal is to gain recognition for the Guinness record.

The objects in the museum give an overview of the history of the key. In addition, visitors can view objects from the past 150 years, grouped in different groups, such as former doctor’s supplies, pharmacy supplies, an old kitchen with furniture, carpentry tools with vice, hairdressing supplies, an old school desk with blackboard, old prams, children’s bicycles, porcelain and many more interesting things.
