IP Bryant, GVPs Cicinelli and Bennett engage with Minnesota IAM members during Peerless Chain Townhall event

IAM International President Brian Bryant, IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Sam Cicinelli and IAM Resident General Vice President Jody Bennett recently attended the Peerless Chain Open House and Plater Celebration in Winona, Minn. The event marks a significant moment for Peerless Chain, with the introduction of a state-of-the-art plater that will revolutionize the company’s operational capabilities and production efficiencies, underscoring a strong partnership between the company and IAM.

The unveiling ceremony, hosted by Peerless Chain, demonstrated the company’s commitment to technological innovation and determination to maintain a competitive edge in the market while prioritizing the needs of its employees.

“This is a perfect example of investing in a workforce for the benefit of the company, its employees and the surrounding community,” Bryant said. “The partnership between Peerless Chain and IAM is focused on treating our members fairly and working together to become a global leader in this industry, and it is built on mutual respect and trust that our dedicated members are a critical part of the success of this company.”

The IAM represents nearly 140 members of IAM Winona Chain Makers Local 1030 who work at Peerless Chain, a company that manufactures a wide range of products, from everyday items like snow chains and fire hydrants to critical parts for a variety of industries, including tuna fishing and naval defense.

“This isn’t just about technological advancements,” Cicinelli said. “It’s about people. The skilled IAM members here are the backbone of this company, and this investment in new technology recognizes their hard work and dedication.”

Peerless Chain’s latest innovation is a showcase of progress in manufacturing and labor relations, setting a precedent for integrating technological advancements and workforce development.

Also participating in the event were IAM Chief of Staff to the International President Vinny Addeo, IAM Chief of Staff for the Midwest Territory Rick Mickschl, IAM District 66 Directing Business Representative Jana Kirch, IAM District 77 Directing Business Representative Andrew Peltier, the leadership and membership of Local 1030, Peerless Chain management and others.
