BROCKTON — One of New England’s largest fairs comes to Brockton next week for five days of fun, thrilling rides, classic award-winning carnival games and delicious fried snacks.

From July 31 through August 4, Fiesta Shows will bring fun back to the city of Brockton after the nearly 150-year-old Brockton Fair was canceled for good in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Next week, residents of Brockton and the surrounding area can look forward to another day of memories with family and friends, featuring roller coasters, giant stuffed animals as treats, and fried dough.

Here’s everything you need to know about Carnival before you go.

When is Carnival?

The carnival is in Brockton for five days: from July 31st to August 4th. On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the carnival is open from 5pm to closing. On Saturdays and Sundays, the carnival is open from 1pm to closing.

According to the carnival website, opening hours are weather dependent. Weather updates can be found on the company’s website or Facebook page.

Where is the carnival?

The carnival will take place at Brockton High School, located at 470 Forest Ave.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online and on site.

How much do the tickets cost?

Admission to the carnival is $5 per person. Admission for children 12 and under is free.

Individual ride credits can be purchased on site.

There are also two ride packages, a megapass and a wristband, which can be purchased in advance online or on-site. A megapass allows visitors to ride unlimited mechanical rides on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 1pm to closing. A megapass costs visitors $40 online or $45 in person. A wristband allows visitors to ride unlimited mechanical rides on Wednesday or Thursday from 5pm to closing, or on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm or 5pm to closing. A wristband costs visitors $30 online or $35 in person.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

Is there an age limit for Carnival?

There is no age limit for entry. However, all children between the ages of 13 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 or older. In addition, each adult may accompany a maximum of four minors at a time.

What attractions are there at the fair?

According to the company’s website, the attractions that will be present at the event have not yet been announced.

In the past, Fiesta Show fairs have included Ferris wheels, roller coasters, swings, bumper cars, merry-go-rounds, fun houses, climbing walls, slides and much more.

What discounts are there during Carnival?

At the Brockton Fair, there are four booths selling chicken nuggets, corn dogs, fries, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, cotton candy, popcorn, slushies, fried dough, and ice cream.
