First State Educate to Lead Education Initiatives for Delaware Schools
DELAWARE – First State Educate’s mission is to help public schools across Delaware with training sessions for school administrators in public education.

Delaware ranks in the bottom 10% of all states in reading and math in grades four through eight. Only 31% of students meet state standards in math and only 41% meet standards in English.

The FSE group calls these statistics a “crisis” and Julia Keleher, chief strategy and operations officer, said they need to train officials in school districts to begin reforms.

“How do you set an effective agenda, how do you deal with public comment, how do you respond to public concerns, how do you write policy.”
