He said in a statement in Abuja that he had a fruitful discussion with Dr. Nkiruka Maduekwe, Director General/CEO of the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) on Friday, July 26, 2024.

He said he also participated in a virtual meeting with Oando Clean Energy management to discuss their groundbreaking work to increase investment in renewable energy systems.

Ngelale explained that Oando’s focused focus on R&D and exploring potential investment opportunities in clean energy, with a willingness to take calculated risks, would be beneficial to the organisation and the Nigerian economy as a whole.

“They get all the relational support we can muster, based on the value of their organizational vision and their diverse activities,” he said.

Ngelale said he also held virtual consultations with officials from the US Department of Energy and the US Department of State.

Ngelale indicated that the discussion focused on Nigeria’s drive to harness its vast maritime resources to attract new environmentally focused partnerships and investments in seaports and shipping corridors.
