Troubled young Tommo flees to London, where he meets Marek, a shy Polish immigrant living with his working-class father in impoverished Somers Town. Tommo moves into their small flat and the pair end up doing odd jobs for an eccentric neighbour and competing for the attentions of a French waitress – all the while trying to keep their escapades a secret from Marek’s father.
