The battle for votes and the presidency between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump has turned the tide against the “double hater” phenomenon that emerged when Joe Biden was still a candidate.

Before Biden withdrew from the race, American society was unprecedentedly divided between supporting the incumbent president or the former president. However, the percentage of “double-hater” voters dropped from 20% to 8% after Biden’s withdrawal.

While 90% of Americans believe Biden made the right choice, his approval rating rose from 36% to 43% after his withdrawal.

However, the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was also included in the large drop. American voters, according to Axiosnow favor Trump more after the Pennsylvania fiasco, which saw his approval rating jump from 42% to 47%, according to a News/Siena survey.

Kamala Harris’ approval rating also rose to 46%.

This is also because more people decide to go to the polls after Harris entered the race. The percentage of voters who decided not to participate in the race fell from 4% to 2%.

Bad news, Kamala

Despite Harris’s approval rating rising, a YouGov poll estimated that 30% of Americans think the United States is not ready for a female president. Since 2015, the percentage has increased by just 9%.

However, 54% of Americans disagreed, while the remaining 16% provided no information.

Although Harris outpolled Biden in Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Pennsylvania by 3-5% margins, she still trails Trump, albeit very close.

The Emerson College Poll/The hill The poll showed Harris with 44% support in Arizona to Trump’s 49%, 46% to 48% in Georgia and Pennsylvania, and 45% to 46% in Michigan.

In Wisconsin, both candidates received equal support, at 47%.

When Harris was nominated as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, she vowed to defeat Trump.

It is worth noting, however, that her reputation has been tarnished both abroad and at home by her aggressive support for military aggression abroad, as well as by her controversial actions as California Attorney General, such as wrongfully imprisoning innocent people, supporting the death penalty, and protecting police officers accused of wrongful executions.
