The Paris Olympic Games will be shown on the big screen in Coleraine Town Hall for two days in July

To celebrate Coleraine’s Hannah Scott competing for Great Britain at the Paris Olympics, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council are bringing live Olympic action to the big screen in July.

A fan zone will be set up at Coleraine Town Hall on Tuesday 30th July and Wednesday, July 31, every day from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Hannah will compete in the women’s quadruple (partnered with Lauren Henry, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw), with the heats of the races taking place today, Saturday 27 July, and the finals on Wednesday 31 July. The British boat are the top seeded team and they will face competition from China, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland and the USA.

Following in the footsteps of Olympic medallist Alan Campbell and brothers Richard and Peter Chambers, Hannah began rowing at Bann Rowing Club, one of the oldest and most successful rowing clubs in Ireland. She is currently the Women’s Quadruple World Champion.

The fan zone offers sports fans in the area the opportunity to come together, show their support and honour Hannah and all the other exceptional sporting heroes from around the world competing in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
