LOWER MERION — Lower Merion officials are accepting nominations for the annual preservation awards, which will be presented later this year.

The awards, jointly sponsored by the Lower Merion Historical Architectural Review Board and the Lower Merion Historical Commission, recognize outstanding projects, initiatives and individuals related to the preservation of historic heritage in the community.

The categories for the conservation award are: residential and non-residential, compatible new construction, small projects and the award of recognition.

The Residential and Non-Residential category includes projects involving the restoration, preservation, renovation or adaptive use of a historic building, structure or landscape.

Compatible new construction is intended for new buildings and/or constructions that fit in with the historical environment.
