MPAC’s new online tool helps homeowners access home sales data

Property Pulse Dashboard allows people to ‘easily access and view property sales data by municipality and property type’

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) has launched an online tool to inform people about residential property sales data.

The Property Pulse Dashboard launched Thursday in an effort to help homeowners “make informed decisions about their properties,” MPAC said in a press release.

“The dashboard provides Ontario homeowners with the latest residential sales data at their fingertips. Through AboutMyProperty, a free online tool for homeowners, all Ontario homeowners can easily access and view residential sales data by municipality and property type (including detached homes, semi-detached homes, townhomes, condos, or waterfront homes).”

The dashboard includes a comparison feature that allows users to analyze sales information from up to five municipalities at once.

“We’re improving the information we provide to homeowners so they can better understand the housing market,” said Greg Martino, vice-president and chief valuation and standards officer at MPAC. “This new tool, along with our recent release of housing inventory data, is designed with homeowners in mind, so they can learn more about changes in the housing market in communities across Ontario and make more informed decisions.”
