Critical shooting on Detroit’s northwest side

Five Points & Frisbee in the 8th District

Northwest Side of Detroit, 4:50 p.m. 7/27/24: Shooting: DPD’s 8th Precinct, DFD’s Engine 54 (MFR) and DEMS Medic 4 responded to reports of a shooting at Five Points & Frisbee Saturday afternoon around 4:50 p.m.

Dispatch audio suggests the GSW victim is female. A firearm was recovered at the scene by 8th Precinct scouts. A neighboring precinct was alerted to possible retaliation from a group at the scene of the shooting.

Firefighters from Engine 54 accompanied DEMS Medic 4 to the hospital due to the severity of the wound(s).
