Angels trade Carlos Estevez to Phillies for 2 prospects – Press Enterprise

The Angels traded closer Carlos Estevez to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for left-handed pitcher Samuel Aldegheri and right-handed pitcher George Klassen.

Estevez, 31, has made 20 saves in 23 chances this season with a 2.38 ERA.

In his last 18 appearances, spread over 18 innings, he has not given up a single run.

Aldegheri, a 22-year-old native of Verona, Italy, is 0-2 with a 3.60 ERA for Double-A Reading this season. He also made 13 starts for Single-A Jersey Shore, going 6-5 with a 3.18 ERA.

Klassen was a sixth-round pick by the Phillies in 2023. The 22-year-old is currently 1-2 with a 4.22 ERA for Jersey Shore.
