Kamala’s huge turnout in Florida is a striking omen for Trump

We are currently witnessing a very interesting sociological development in this country. It is an election year and the electorate has been called a “sleeping giant” that comes to life once every four years. It has come roaring and drooling to life this year, no this week, when Joe Biden announced on July 21st that he would not seek a second term and passed the torch to Kamala Harris. That was quite a decision. No one knew what the outcome of that decision would be, but we know now and it is astonishing. The latest chapter in the saga is playing out today in none other than The Villages, Florida.

You don’t take this for granted. This is unusual. Now, I know for a fact that there are some Democrats in The Villages, because we have at least one who reads this blog and kindly donates to our efforts. But she’s in the minority, as far as I know. The Villages is a bright red enclave, for the most part. So what’s going on here?

We can only speculate, but here’s a general hypothesis:

  1. People are fed up with Donald Trump and the madness and negativity he radiates and stands for.
  2. Young people want to see change. They have made that abundantly clear.
  3. Since Kamala has been in the spotlight, we have seen an increase in voter registrations, volunteer sign-ups, and a tsunami of donations.
  4. Trump calls Kamala a “bum” and says he doesn’t want to debate her. That just makes him look like the idiot he is.
  5. Team Trump is getting a hard time on many fronts. Trump made a fool of himself again last night when he spoke at Turning Point USA and said that if you voted for him now, “you’d never have to vote again.” That scared a lot of people.
  6. His egregious choice of a running mate is already falling apart. The cat-lady-hating, bank-whoring, five-times-name-changing Mr. Vance is just a little too weird for most people.

When you add all these factors together, you can logically conclude that the country is sending clear signals that it does not want to go backwards, and a vote for Trump is not just a vote back to his terrible administration, but something much worse. A second Trump term will be a first on steroids.

I notice that Melania doesn’t even bother to fake it anymore. She doesn’t even receive Donald’s head of state friends when they show up at her own door.

Happily married man, soon to be president again, he tells us, and his own wife won’t even pretend to endorse his fantasy. A picture is worth a thousand words. And silence speaks volumes too.

But the good news is that the electorate is awake and excited about their opponent. Even the electorate in Florida. So let me remind you of those primaries that Trump won. Yes, he won every one except New Hampshire. BUT, and this is a big but, a large portion of the Republicans who participated in the primaries voted against him and for someone else. He may have made it, but when 40% or more of your own party votes against you, that is a sign.

And if The Villages are so committed to Kamala Harris, that’s another sign. And finally, I remind you of Stephen Miller’s meltdown last week and Moses Mikey Johnson saying he’s going to legally challenge Joe Biden’s right to step aside. These are all compelling signs that we’re now in the midst of a Kamala phenomenon that’s scaring the living daylights out of Team Trump.

The phenomenon is a combination of qualities that the candidate himself has, coupled with the fact that people are sick to death of Donald Trump. And the GOP cannot beat that combination. It is a deadly one. Especially not with the added weight of J.D. Vance and his scandal du jour package.

The Republicans keep setting themselves on fire.
