ASSAM RIFLES RESCUE ACCIDENT VICTIMS AND PROVIDE IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IN GAMNOUM VILLAGE IN UKHRUL DISTRICT, MANIPUR

The Assam Rifles stationed at Shangshak in Ukhrul District of Manipur displayed exemplary service by providing crucial assistance following a road accident. On 27th July 2024 at 12:45 hrs, a Bolero civilian vehicle overturned and fell into a depression on the side of the road at Gamnoum village in Ukhrul District. On receiving the news of the accident, the troops of Assam Rifles quickly mobilized to reach the accident site and immediately rescued the passengers trapped in the overturned vehicle. The injured were immediately evacuated from the accident site and shifted to the Shangshak Battalion Unit Hospital where the Assam Rifles medical team was on standby. The medical team provided emergency care and treatment to all seven passengers, stabilized their condition and provided necessary emergency medical assistance.

The timely intervention and efficient medical response of the Assam Rifles were crucial in ensuring the well-being of the victims of the accident. The local community and the passengers of the vehicle expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the assistance rendered by the Assam Rifles. They lauded the troops for their prompt action and compassionate care, which prevented further damage and ensured speedy recovery of the injured.

In their expressions of gratitude, local residents assured the security forces of their continued support and cooperation, highlighting the strong bond between the military personnel and the local community. This incident not only underlined the vital role of the Assam Rifles in providing security and relief, but also strengthened the mutual respect and solidarity between the troops and the people they protect.

ASSAM RIFLES CELEBRATES 86TH CRPF RAISING DAY IN MANIPUR

In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, Assam Rifles joined their colleagues from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to celebrate their 86th Raising Day at Sangaithel, Manipur. The day was commemorated with greetings, best wishes and a shared cup of tea between the two forces.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was formed in 1939 to tackle internal security threats and carry out anti-naxalite operations, making it the largest central police force in India.

Assam Rifles, India’s oldest paramilitary force, took this opportunity to strengthen its ties with the CRPF, recognizing the tireless efforts of their comrades in maintaining peace and security in the unrest-torn Manipur.

ASSAM RIFLES ORGANIZED FRIENDLY VOLLEYBALL MATCH AT VILL YANGOUBUNG ON 27TH JULY 2024

In its continued commitment to the youth of Community, Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) organised a friendly volleyball match with the youth of Yangoubung village, Tegnoupal district on 27th July 2024. This event marked a significant step towards encouraging sports and games in the border villages of the district.

The event received overwhelming response from the village. After the event, refreshments were also organized for the players and villagers. More than 40 villagers witnessed the event.

The locals expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for providing a platform to the sportspersons and sports enthusiasts of the village.
