Incident in the 43rd precinct: On Saturday, July 13, 2024 at approximately 3:08 p.m., two suspects at 1522 Westchester Avenue asked to see an iPhone. After the 33-year-old male employee showed the phone, one suspect grabbed the device, valued at approximately $700, while the other sprayed the employee with an unknown substance. The suspects fled westbound on Westchester Avenue. The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention.

Incident in the 114th precinct: On Sunday, July 14, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., at 30-69 Steinway Street, the same couple entered and asked to see iPhones. After the phones were presented by the employees, the male suspect stole them, valued at $1,950, while the female sprayed the employees with a substance. They then fled on foot south on Steinway Street. Both victims suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.

Incident in the 83rd precinct: On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at approximately 11:50 a.m., at 298 Irving Avenue, the duo asked to see an iPhone. When the 19-year-old female employee showed the phone, the male suspect took it, worth approximately $1,350, and the female suspect sprayed her with an unknown substance. They fled in an unknown direction. The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in stable condition.

    • Triple shooting in Washington, DC: Three injured

      WASHINGTON, DC — A shooting Saturday night in the 2100 block of 8th St. NW left three people injured. The incident occurred around 3:24 a.m., prompting an immediate response from the DC Police Department.

      Upon arrival, authorities found two adult females and one adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. All victims were conscious and breathing when transported to the hospital for medical attention.

      DC Police have issued a crime alert for the 3rd Precinct. They are looking for a male suspect, approximately 25-30 years old, who was last seen wearing a white shirt with a blue Nike logo.

      The investigation is still ongoing as police are working to arrest the suspect involved in this violent incident.

    • One person injured in shooting in brewery district

      COLUMBUS, OH – A shooting in Columbus’ Brewery District left at least one person injured Friday night. Police responded to the intersection of South Wall Street and West Beck Street after reports of gunfire at approximately 9:09 p.m.

      The area, including a parking lot next to Tony’s Italian Ristorante, was quickly cordoned off with multiple officers on scene. Caution tape was also used to block access to another parking lot across West Beck Street.

      According to dispatch, one person was taken to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. His condition is stable.

      As of 10:30 p.m., police had not released any further details about the cause of the shooting, any other victims or information about a possible suspect.

      The investigation is still ongoing.
