Cyclist dies after collision with SUV in Hellam Township PA

A man riding a bicycle has died after colliding with a vehicle on Mt. Pisgah Road in Hellam Township, according to a news release from the York County coroner.

The incident happened around 10:15 a.m. on Saturday morning, July 27.

“The adult male cyclist wearing a helmet was the only bicyclist reportedly traveling westbound on Mt. Pisgah Road at Ducktown Road in Hellam Township when the bicycle struck the side of an SUV traveling eastbound on Mt. Pisgah Road,” the press release stated.

The coroner pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The man’s identity has not yet been released, pending further information from the family.

The cause and manner of death are not yet known.

Hellam Township police and state police are investigating the incident.
