Alan Titchmarsh, 75, is a well-known professional gardener and radio and television presenter who has been a regular face on British television for many years.

Titchmarsh began his career in radio when he presented the gardening programme House in a Garden on BBC Radio 2. He then made his debut on the small screen as a horticultural expert on the BBC television programme Nationwide, before taking on the role of presenter of the Chelsea Flower Show for BBC television in 1983.

In 1996, Titchmarsh took over as presenter of the BBC programme Gardeners’ World, which was even filmed in his own garden.

He later presented the BBC One television series Ground Force, alongside presenters Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh.

In addition to his gardening work, Titchmarsh has also written several fiction books. His first was published in 1998 by Simon and Schuster, the Express reports.

Titchmarsh is originally from Ilkley, West Riding of Yorkshire, but now divides his time between Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

In 2002, he and his wife Alison moved to their Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse in Hampshire. The estate, set in 10 acres of grounds, features 10 small waterfalls, a large greenhouse, a barn and an abundance of lush greenery.

The stunning property is located in Alton, Hampshire and is reportedly worth a whopping £1.25 million, according to Entertainment Daily.
