Don’t miss Operation K-9 this week at a new location in Wisconsin

One of my favorite fundraising events in the Twin Ports, which is also free to attend, showcases what local police dogs and their handlers can do.

The Northland K9 Foundation will once again host Operation K-9 on Thursday, August 1st from 4:30-8:00pm, with a different location than previous years. In 2024, it will be held at the Wessman Arena at 2701 Catlin Ave in Superior, Wisconsin.

Free and open to the public, Operation K-9 is a great opportunity for you to meet some of the law enforcement dogs and even take photos with them. There will also be opportunities to tour various law enforcement vehicles and plenty of family-friendly activities like bounce houses.

If you’re hungry, you can buy food. There will also be K-9 themed souvenirs and an auction. Proceeds will go to local police K-9 programs.

I have attended many of these types of events in the past and I can tell you it is amazing to see the incredible work that K-9 teams can do and how they are out in the field doing their best to keep our community safe.
