Building application for 241 new homes approved

Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Councils have APPROVED the construction of 241 new homes on land in Brockhill East.

The new homes are the fifth phase of a wider plan by Persimmon Homes, which says the homes meet the council’s requirements and have been designed to the highest specifications.

A total of 99 homes will be transferred to a housing association partner for rental and shared ownership.

As part of the wider Persimmon and Charles Church development in Redditch, over £7.23 million is being paid to support infrastructure delivery and economic development.

This includes highways, public transport, education, sports and public spaces.

Russell Griffin, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “We are delighted that Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough councils have voted to approve the fifth phase of our development at The View.

“This scheme will deliver a mix of homes which will help meet the housing needs of the Redditch area and will also provide local jobs and apprenticeships as part of the construction of the development.”

“We are committed to creating vibrant, successful communities and supporting more local families to realize their dream home.

“We continue to work with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure our developments deliver real benefits to the communities in which they are located.”
