Firefighters on scene of small vegetation fire in rural North County

Firefighters responded to an eight-acre wildfire that broke out in a remote area of ​​North County on Sunday.

Units were called around 11 a.m. to reports of a fire in the area of ​​Harris Trail and Via Cordoniz Road in the unconnected De Luz area.

“No damage to the structure, with moderate spread. Between the aircraft and ground crews, they’re making very good progress,” a Cal Fire spokesperson told City News Service.

No evacuations or injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
