DISCUSSION/ADVICE

We continue the bright weekend with another day of sunshine. The hazy hue outside is associated with wildfire smoke, originating from wildfires over 2,000 miles away. The smoke is thin and high enough that it has little to no impact on our air quality.

Otherwise, temperatures will be a little warmer today and humidity will be a little higher. Highs will be in the 85 to 90s. There will be a few clouds, especially in the southeast toward the end of the day. It is associated with a coastal low that will move back toward the coast. So, there will be a few showers possible by evening, especially southeast of Albany. Otherwise, skies will be mostly cloudy and lows will be in the low to mid 60s.

The low pressure system along the coast will remain in place Monday, keeping us in and out of showers and occasional thunderstorms, especially east of the Capital Region. Highs will be in the 80s to 85s, and humidity will start to climb significantly as well.

Tuesday and beyond will be a more typical summer pattern with generally drier conditions in the morning before showers and storms bubble up in the afternoon. As of now, the greatest storm risk of the week looks to be Wednesday afternoon with possible downpours. Highs for the rest of the week will be in the mid to high 80s to near 90. Lows will remain mild in the high 60s to low 70s. It will remain humid.
