Jamaica: An action taken by police officers that led to the discovery of illegal ammunition in the town of Grants Pen in the parish of Saint Andrew. The law enforcement department of the island shared information about the case that was conducted on the day time of Saturday, July 27.

The operation conducted that day in the Grants Pen area resulted in ten counts of illegal .38 calibre ammunition being recovered by police. The action was undertaken by officers assigned to the Specialised Operation Branch, who conducted a search in the area of ​​Saint Andrew Parish in Jamaica and located the illicit item.

According to the released information of the law enforcement authority about the seizure of ammunition in Grants Pen, the mission was carried out by the officers during the hours of 10:00 to 12:00 on the day. It is stated that the responsible police officers were performing their duties in the region when the illegal item was discovered.

It is reported that while the police officers were on alert in the area and were patrolling the area on foot, they saw a group of individuals. It is said that the behavior of the male individuals in the group was unusual for the police officers, which aroused their suspicion. To confirm their doubts, the police officers on duty went to the group of men to question them and take notes of the situation.

As the group of police officers approached the group, the suspects spotted them and scattered. The individuals in the group began running in all directions to avoid the police officers and escape from the location. The Specialized Operation Branch police officers chased the suspect but were unable to apprehend him.

Reportedly, after the group of suspects fled from the location, the responsible team of police officers immediately launched an exercise and searched the area. While searching the location in Grants Pen, the police officers were able to find a bottle containing ten rounds of ammunition, which was not authorized.

Immediately after, the quantities of illegal 0.38 caliber ammunition were seized and taken to the police control. The police conducted an investigation into the seizure of illegal ammunition in Grants Pen. The investigation is ongoing in the area and the law enforcement authorities are looking for the suspects.
