Wawa Airport – NOTAM closes runway – UPDATED – Wawa-news.com

The aircraft has been moved and the NOTAM has been withdrawn.

The above photo shows an airplane sitting in the middle of the runway at Wawa Municipal Airport this afternoon. The airplane looks like it has a blown tire, the left tire is completely flat. As a result, this Citation Ultra (from Florida) is blocking the runway and at 4:56 PM NavCan issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) stating that runway 03/21 is closed due to an aircraft malfunction, meaning no one can land or take off.

Wawa News believes helicopters may still be able to land.
