The Diamond Complex in the Umpqua National Forest is an estimated 13,000 acres (5,188 hectares) in size and 7 percent contained, while the Middle Fork is 1,700 acres (715 hectares) in size and 1 percent contained, in Crater Lake National Park.

An update from UNF said there are currently 27 fires and 610 personnel assigned to the two incidents. Two new starts were spotted Sunday, diverting resources to assess the sites and develop a containment strategy.

There is a total fire perimeter of 79 miles where firefighters are implementing direct and indirect strategies that reduce the risk to first responders while protecting private homes and endangered values. Pacific Power and Light’s infrastructure within the complex remains the highest priority for protection as crews battle fires that threaten those resources.

The largest fires are:

*Pine Bench Fire: 1,981 acres and zero percent contained. It is located north of Highway 138 near Dry Creek.

*Trail Fire: 826 acres and 25 percent contained. It is located east of Highway 138 on the western slope of Mt. Thielsen.

*Lemolo Fire: 804 hectares and zero percent contained. The fire is located north of Lemolo Lake on Bunker Hill.

*Potter Fire: 690 acres and zero percent contained. It is located north of Highway 138, approximately 2 miles south of Potter Mountain.

*Watson Fire: 232 acres and 50 percent contained. It is located north of Highway 138 on Watson Ridge.
