Forget about shock and awe. General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, July 30, focus on shock and anger, with Anna suddenly making an unexpected discovery. Meanwhile, Sonny and Jagger, once again, have a volatile interaction.

Courtroom Carly

Last week, Carly (Laura Wright) confronted Officer John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) after she kicked him and his luggage to the curb at the Metro Court Hotel. She finally had enough and dared him to take her in. Well, he did, and now she’s up on those pesky RICO charges she racked up from her brief stint as mob head of the Corinthos family.

Sure, Jason’s off the hook, and he isn’t forced to leave town. Now, Carly has to face the music. She gets her day in court. Her friends and family show up for her, but will this end well? Or will she end up sporting a prison orange jumpsuit? Is orange even her color? Somehow, we don’t think so.

Expect the Unexpected

Expected: Things get heated between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and John. The bad blood between these two means they don’t need to be in the same room as each other. Unfortunately, this won’t be the case. Sonny won’t be able to keep a lid on his temper for much longer. When his anger erupts, you can bet Ava (Maura West) will use this momentary lapse in judgment to her advantage.

Unexpected: Anna (Finola Hughes) makes a shocking discovery. Hmmm… could this have to do with Brennan (Charles Mesure)? She’s currently preoccupied with his whereabouts since he disappeared without a trace from Pentonville. The fact that the prison has no record of the ex-WSB Director ever being there perplexes Anna greatly. Well, the mystery may be solved when Brennan pops up, and he’s not wearing his orange Pentonville jumpsuit. Instead, he looks nicer and fancier.

Advice and Gratitude

Look for Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to counsel Molly (Kristen Vaganos). It feels like this advice-giving might come a little too late in the game. After all, Molly already demanded Kristina (Kate Mansi) sign parental rights termination papers. Wait. What’s a stronger word than “demanded”? Because that would be the word to use in this situation. Will Alexis help Molly see things from Kristina’s perspective, or will she validate Molly’s tactic of going the legal route that will absolutely serve to threaten their sisterly bond?

Elsewhere, Nina (Cynthia Watros) is grateful to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Is this simply about Willow finding a way to forgive, forget, and forge a relationship with Nina after all these months? Or is it about something else entirely? (Find out what’s coming up on GH in Soap Hub’s Weekly Update)
