Weather forecast for Adelaide for Tuesday 30th July

Weather forecast for Adelaide for Tuesday 30th July

South Australians can expect a sunny but chilly start to the day on Tuesday, according to the latest updates from the Bureau of Meteorology. The forecast calls for clear skies across several regions, including Adelaide, with daytime temperatures in the city reaching a mild 16 degrees.

Tuesday’s weather will be characterised by light winds, which will change from northerly in the morning to lighter winds in the middle of the day. Similar conditions are expected in other metropolitan areas, with Elizabeth and Glenelg seeing highs of 17 and 16 degrees respectively, while slightly cooler temperatures are forecast for Noarlunga and Mount Barker, both with highs of 15 degrees.

A high pressure system over Victoria is influencing the weather in South Australia, expanding a ridge that will slowly move southeast over the next few days. However, a shift is expected later in the week as a cold front approaches the far west of the state on Thursday night or Friday morning. This system is expected to move eastward across South Australia on Friday and early Saturday.

For the wider state, Tuesday’s forecast advises that conditions will be dry, with morning temperatures particularly cold, leading to widespread frost. Temperature highs will vary, with below average in the far northeast, near average in the south and above average in the far west, accompanied by east to northeasterly winds.

The Bureau has also issued a frost warning for several districts including the Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East. The warning warns residents that ground-level temperatures could drop as low as -1C on Tuesday morning. These conditions are significantly colder than those recorded by standard weather stations, particularly in calm and clear conditions.

For those planning ahead, Wednesday in Adelaide will see a slight change in conditions, with the day starting with a low of 7 degrees and warming to a high of 17 degrees under partly cloudy skies. The chance of rain remains at a minimum of 5%.

As always, you can find updates and more information about weather conditions on the official Bureau of Meteorology website.
