Loudoun County Deputy District Attorney Charged with DUI in PWC: Officials

Over the weekend, Prince William County Deputy District Attorney Matthew B. Lowery was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and refusing a breath test.

No details have been released by investigators about the arrest or the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“We are following the protocols of the Loudoun County Human Resources Department and will not be commenting further on this matter,” the DA’s office said in a statement.

According to an ABC7 reportLowery is allowed to continue working at the office during the ongoing investigation.

Lowery is a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, moving to Prince William County in 1984. He graduated from Woodbridge High School four years later, VCU in 1994, and then from the University of Richmond’s TC School of Law.
