Final day for stand sales draws large crowd at the municipality

Today (Tuesday) is the final day of stand sales.

First-time buyers earn more than R600 000 per annum as well as current property owners are bidding for their share of the stands.

The process officially started last Thursday, with councilors and municipal workers buying stands.

The Middelburg Observer visited the site, where hundreds of residents had parked their vehicles on the open field near the Prayer Oven, forming long queues that stretched to the underground parking at the municipality.

The municipality changed the location of the stand sales, originally set to take place at the Sydney Choma Banquet Hall, due to the Nkangala District Municipality hosting The State of the District event there.
