Replacement bins no longer free – municipality

The Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has informed residents that they can collect their replacement 240-litre waste containers from their Waste Management Services office in Coronation Park between 10am and 2.30pm from 1st to 8th August.

However, residents should note that these replacement bins are no longer free. MCLM communications officer Adrian Amod said the office is located on the corner of Coronation Street and Paardekraal Road.

“Residents will need their latest municipal account statement (not older than three months), a copy of the account holder’s ID and a copy of the account holder’s and collector’s ID (if collecting on behalf of the account holder). As per the current municipal tariff (2024/25), a fee will be charged to the account in the next municipal billing cycle. Account holders are further encouraged to ensure that the correct number of bins are billed to their municipal account(s) as per the 2024/25 Waste Management Services Policy,” Amod added.

He concluded that cash payments would no longer be accepted upon collection.
