This weekend! Angelica Heritage Days Saturday and Sunday August 3 and 4

Audio walk, Roque tournament, live music, market stalls, festival food to highlight Angelica’s 55e Anniversary Heritage Days Festival

Check out the full event schedule!

If you come to the Heritage Days in Angelica for the focus on local historyyou will certainly enjoy this year’s program. The festival is sponsored by the Angelica Booster Citizens and takes place in the town square in the center of Park Circle National Historic District.

Starting with the 100-year-old Soldiers’ Monument, which was placed in Park Circle in 1924 and later moved to Until the Day Dawn Cemetery, Self-guided audio walking tour focuses on “things that are no longer there” or have been repurposed. Booster Citizens and Angelica Tourism Trek have teamed up again to create the eight-stop tour, accessible on your smartphone by scanning a QR code.

The croquet tournament on the unique “roque” court has been a highlight of Heritage Days since the event began in 1969. This year’s competition will feature 13 two-person teams competing for the championship. The semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday, with the finals taking place on Sunday afternoon.

In addition, the Heritage Days Festival offers the following:

Full line-up of live music in Park Circle bandstand // Art-craft-antique-market // Reunion of former basketball students from the 60s // Cornhole Contest // Colonial rooms open in Angelica Free Library // “Family treasures” exhibition in Grange building // Vintage paper dolls display and “Sentimental hairpiece” talking in the library // Chariot rides through the historic district // Theme basket auction // Festival food included Sunday chicken barbecue.
