Simmons Park is the first park in West Devon to win the prestigious Green Flag award

Chairman of Okehampton Borough Council’s Parks Committee, Bob Tolley, said: “I am delighted that Okehampton Borough Council, Parks Officer James McGahey, his staff and volunteers have been rewarded for their management and hard work at Simmons Park by being accredited with the internationally recognised Green Flag award… The award is something Okehampton can be proud of and I am sure it will spur us all on to maintain, improve and in turn sustain the award for years to come.”
