“Dear Customers, Friends and Family, I have decided to retire after 30 years of serving the two best cities in the universe: Hatboro and Horsham,” Randa said. “It has been a pleasure serving you all!”

Randa has also been involved in the community over the years by coaching children in soccer, baseball and basketball.

“Coach Chip will always be my favorite name. I hope to see as many of you as possible for this Sunday,” he said. “Please spread the word so they have a chance to grab a pizza or cheesesteak before we close. May God bless Hatboro & Horsham forever.”

Tonelli’s opened in Horsham in 1993.

The company’s mission was to sell the best pizza, wings, cheesesteaks and hoagies “in the universe,” Randa told Patch last year during its 30th anniversary celebration.

But the company also wanted to do something for the community.

Tonelli’s supports youth athletics and also participates in Horsham Township’s Restaurant Week, which recently concluded.

Randa has donated more than $789,000 to youth athletics from elementary through high school. He has also personally coached more than 375 boys and girls in football, baseball and basketball.
