Japanese restaurant reservation sites start targeting foreign tourists

TOKYO — Japanese restaurant reservation sites are offering exclusive services and reservation options to cater to the growing demand from international tourists and help other restaurants do the same.

Booking site TableCheck introduced its FastPass priority reservation system in February. By booking online for a fee, customers can skip the line at popular restaurants that otherwise have long waits.
