Infamous Indiana Haunted House Hosts Paranormal Festival

Infamous Indiana Haunted House Hosts Paranormal Festival

This is the perfect location for a spooky festival.

In Indianapolis, there is a historic house that is known for its hauntings. The legends change depending on where you look, but one thing remains constant: many people have heard, seen, and felt strange things when they enter the Hannah House.

According to Indy Encyclopedia, in the 1970s, the family that owned the Hannah House worked to get the Hannah House listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They began hosting events at the Hannah House to help cover the cost of maintaining the historic home. People enjoyed murder mystery dinners, art shows, and more events that were held at the Hannah House, and even in between the parties and events, rumors of ghosts still circulated.

Indy Encyclopedia explains:

As more people visited the house, the number of otherworldly experiences increased. People claimed that the smell of burning candles wafted down from the attic, where servants who had lived in the house supposedly kept an altar. Several people reported experiencing the foul odor of rotting flesh in the first bedroom at the top of the stairs. Several ghosts have been reported, including a man in a black suit walking through the upstairs hallway, a woman at a second-floor window, and a stillborn baby, believed to be Elizabeth’s.

Considering the many legends surrounding the Hannah House, you can imagine that this would be the perfect location for a paranormal festival.

On August 10th, a fun and spooky event is happening at the Hannah House. According to the Haunting at the Hannah House Facebook page, you can expect all sorts of spooky fun at the paranormal festival, including paranormal teams, food trucks, mystical and macabre performers, and more!
